Then, a few weeks later, on the 23rd, we lost TV legend Ed McMahon. Thankfully, he did die peacefully of old age and not autoerotic asphyxiation. Now, I really like the Tonight Show, but I never saw it with Johnny Carson and Ed McMahon. I've seen clips, but that's before my time (I'm not that old!) I've always watched it with Jay Leno and now Conan O'Brien (who I think is much better), but I've seen clips of the old one. Johnny and Ed seemed like they had really good chemistry together and I definitely would have watched had I been older. Plus, Ed McMahon looks a lot like my grandpa. Though, my grandpa never rang my doorbell and gave me a check for 10 million dollars. I'm just sayin'.
Then, two days later, on the morning of the 25th, actress Farrah Fawcett lost her battle with cancer. Like the first two, I never really saw her in very many things, as the peak of her career was also before my time. But I can tell you, if I was a teenager back in the 70's, I would definitely have had that red swimsuit poster of her! You know the one! I'm just sayin'.
Though, I feel bad for Farrah Fawcett, because just a few hours later, her sad passing was completely eclipsed by the very sudden and very shocking death of Michael Jackson! I mean, his health wasn't great, not to mention he had a mountain of debt, but holy shit! Nobody expected that at all! To be honest, I actually really liked Michael Jackson. I would've liked to see him live. I might be the only one here, but I never thought for a moment that he was guilty of child molestation or pedophilia. I mean sure, he was very strange and if I had kids, I still wouldn't have let them stay with him, but I don't think he did anything like that! In my opinion, he was a great entertainer. I went out driving to do some errands that night, and I blasted all the Michael Jackson songs I have on my iPod, with the windows rolled down!
I thought that was it for this deadly month, but I just found out that a few hours ago, TV spokesman Billy Mays was found dead (wow, the internet is fast!). If you know who he is, you may remember him as that guy with the beard who screams at you about OxyClean. His commercials were painfully annoying sometimes, but it's still sad. I never have much laundry to do, only one load a week, sometimes less, but I feel obligated to buy a bucket (or whatever they come in) of OxyClean in his memory. I won't because I don't have the money to buy some, but I'm just sayin'.
So who's going next? There's still two days left of this month! If you're a celebrity, whether you are the King of Pop or the guy that loudly sells laundry detergent, you're probably not reading this. But if you are, stay inside! Or better yet, move to Canada! Death can't find you there!
